Akuba is passionate about helping others. She has volunteered her time with countless organizations dating back to her childhood. Akuba has over six years of experience in community relations, fundraising, event planning, project management, & program development all in the name of philanthropy. She has worked with various non-profit organizations ranging from small grass-roots movements to large national organizations. She is determined to dedicate her life to improving the lives of others.

Akuba’s communications career started back in high school during her time as the PR officer for Beta Club and writing articles for the school news paper. She went on to serve as the PR officer for K.O.P.E Inc., a grass-roots non-profit where she was responsible for creating press releases, website copy, newsletters and informational pamphlets. She successfully attracted celebrities, secured sponsorship from local businesses and garnered media attention for their programs and events through television, newspapers, and radio.

Akuba sweats awesomeness. She is registered as a bone marrow donor and once rescued an abandoned kitten from the side of the road. She graduated top 10% of her highschool class, was Co-Captain of the flag squad and her high school Homecoming Queen; officially destroying the geek/cool barrier. Aside from her life awesomeness, she also oozes business awesomeness. She’s earned her Bachelor’s in International Affiars, an MBA and started her own business. Akuba’s strongest skill is “execution.” Need a project manager? No sweat. Need a leader? That’s Akuba all day. If you want a task done and done right, you call Akuba.
